We are now forming teams for the girls fall basketball season in grades 3rd-11th grades.
Tryouts will be in late August and first practices are the beginning of September.
We offer 10 practices and 2 games each Sunday for 4 weeks starting mid September through Mid October, for a total of 8 games.
The cost is only $225 and it is a great way to tune up for the winter season!
Checks for the seasons fees will be collected prior to the tryouts, but not cashed unless a roster spot is offered and accepted. All other checks are destroyed. Participants must be covered by insurance.
If you have any questions, please contact Thunder director Mark Rowland at firstname.lastname@example.org

Minnesota Thunder Girls Basketball Program has been providing a quality spring basketball experience since 2000. During our first 11 seasons, our teams have enjoyed much success. Minnesota Thunder has had 8 teams win D-I Spring State Championships!! Furthermore, the Thunder have had one or more teams in a D-I State Championship game 10 of the last 11 seasons.
Minnesota Thunder's primary objective is to provide girls a good quality, competitive and functional place to play spring and summer basketball. Our goal is for the girls to return to their winter teams as better basketball players. We believe that by emphasizing teamwork, sound fundamentals, hustle and sportsmanship the player's interests are best served. Furthermore, we feel it is important to provide the opportunity for the girls to play for different coaches and with different players, thereby fostering friendships that can transcend their winter season rivalries. Our organization recognizes that some of our girls have goals of obtaining college scholarships. We understand that competing in national exposure tournaments are an important part of our commitment to the support of those goals. However, our main goal is helping the girls to improve their skills and knowledge of basketball which will enhance their joy in playing the game.
The Thunder will provide top quality coaches who are knowledgeable and capable teachers of the game. We will have some Division I and II teams. Historically we have put together select teams by invitation and we have numerous girls coming back from last years teams. In addition, we hold open tryouts for our new teams and/or to fill the remaining roster spots on existing teams. Please click on hand outs for detailed information on try outs, fees and registration.
